Popular skit-maker and singer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe has revealed how he made viral hit track, Machala.
This comes after the track was removed off streaming platforms following a conflicting copyright claim to the song by the skit maker and a Berri Tiga.
The “Machala” song was set to be the song of the summer before it was removed from streaming platforms. It was also a source of controversy as a lot of people lambasted Carter for seeking attention from Wizkid, who is popularly referred to as “Machala”.
In an interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Carter revealed how he made the song that became a viral hit.
According to him,
“I was at home with my guy and started to put some instrumental beats on youtube. I started to chant Machala. It was then it occurred to me that if I do a song like this, it will go viral”
